Samsung Backs Walden's Mission to Put Robots to Work Today
Walden and Samsung establish a strategic partnership with rapid progress together towards useful general-purpose robots.

When Walden Robotics launched out of stealth on July 15 with $300 million in funding (cf. announcement here), Samsung Ventures joined a group of strategic backers investing behind a simple conviction: general-purpose robots should do useful work in real production environments today. The seed round, co-led by Toyota and Deviation Capital, values Walden at $1.1 billion and brings together partners across automotive, aerospace, logistic, semiconductors, and electronics, the industries where Physical AI will change how the world's most advanced products get made.
Samsung's participation matters to us, because it comes from a partner who builds at this technological frontier every day.
Samsung NEXT, an existing investor, sees what we see: the proof is on the factory floor. In the words of David Lee, Head of Samsung NEXT:
